A matter of sides.

My last few posts have been about feelings. Mostly negative feelings. Not feeling very positive. Not feeling very trans.

But if you're going to go large with your bullshit...

Yes, UK Supreme Court, I mean you. For effectively ruling that every trans person everywhere should be made to suffer every day lest some cis woman somewhere some time be made to feel uncomfortable. Yes, so-called EHRC, for rushing to enforce this. Yes, all you political and media bigots, for creating the climate in which it could happen. Yes, all you political and media cowards, for allowing it to happen. Yes, all you celebrating, gloating dickwads, motivated by little more than hatred.

If you're going to make it a matter of sides...

Fuck, get away from me. You can see my trans body at the protest.

  1. An excellent set of photos and an amazing turnout too. Some very powerful speeches from folk as well 🩷🏳️‍⚧️✊

I thought I spotted you on one of the street furniture boxes. I may have a photo if you want it.

    1. Yes, please, to any and all photos :) . Do you still have my email address?

Incidentally, in case you're interested, the final sentence is adapted from this: Moor Mother - Deadbeat Protest.

You'll also notice that I've expanded my third paragraph.

    2. There's a contact form on my blog, if you'd like to pass you email along. I had a look through my stuff and couldn't find your address. That may say more about my inability to find stuff though 🙂

Thank you for posting about the protest. I feel this is really important.

    3. I have duly contacted you :)

Yes, protesting is important. Not sure what the follow-up will be though.

  2. I left the UK in 2018 because of my forebodings about what would be done to minorities and people deemed weak or unusual. We've seen what the new order thinks of destitute refugees, now it's trans people and soon it'll be others.

Well done and indeed thank you for protesting and being seen fighting this sick situation. I'm glad to see that such a large group gathered even at such short notice. Respect to you all.

    1. Yes, it was a decent turnout for Nottingham, if nothing like as big as in some of the other cities. Not that any of them got much media coverage – except for where, as Carrie Marshall puts it, “one of the protesters scribbled on a statue with a bit of chalk.”

    2. /S Jeez. Chalk. I... I mean, they let kids use this stuff... on,on pavements! Yes, it washes away with a damp cloth or just the rain - but where do those trans messages go eh? The sea, and into fish, and then we eat the fish... which means we're all ingesting the wokeness!! Even if we don't eat fish, the seawater becomes water and we are showered in the trans mafia slogans! 😜

Yeah, I saw the scribble on Reddit and it did raise a smile.
